The Indian Association of Solid State Chemists and Allied Scientists (ISCAS), founded in 1998, is dedicated to advancement of research and teaching in the solid state chemistry and allied areas, which are recognized as essential for development of modern materials. It has grown in to a vibrant academic society with members from almost every part of the country representing almost every reputed institute/university of the country.
Training young academia/scientists, providing research facilities at the ISCAS Institute of Solid State and Materials Science, Jammu, and providing platform for interaction among the workers of this field and organizing symposia/seminars/conferences/workshops are some of the elements of its programme.
I call upon the practitioners of this branch of science to join us in this endeavour.
